It's known as Quinta do Brinçal or Golden Eagle, this course is located close to the town of Rio Maior and is about 60 kilometres north of Lisbon. Due to recently constructed motorways it is within comfortable reach of the capital. The essence of the play on this course is skill and accuracy. A good example can be found on the par-4 fifteenth hole. This is strategically placed so that trees impede the line of the second shot and it is essential for these trees to be carried. The number three hole presents a challenging shot over a water hazard onto a challenging shallow green.
